Yesterday morning, my parents and I went hiking. We went up to Amah Rock.
We walked up many staircases and we were tired. It took about 1.5 hours to walk from home to Amah Rock.

On the way, we saw two streams. We stood on some rocks and Dad took photos of us. We looked at the view from Amah Rock. It was beautiful. I saw a lot of buildings, they were so small like models. We sat under a big rock and rested for a while before we walked down the hill.

It took just 20 minutes to walk down the hill. Before we left Lion Rock Country Park, we saw a naughty monkey. He was getting people's BBQ food. A woman screamed. The monkey was scared and then climbed up the tree quickly. We took a photo of it.
The Amah Rock has an interesting story. It is like a mother carrying his child, waiting for the father's father to come home.

It seems that you had a good day with your parents, staying out for fresh air. Good. I used to hike in 八仙嶺, but it was ages ago. Hiking is definitely good for our health.

Hiking on Lion Rock with parents on a fine day in late Autumn was in deed a pleasure. Going high and looking far grant us more confidence and energy.
I have been there only once almost half a century ago. A black and white photo of me nearby the Amah Rock can still be found in my album. The view then looked therefrom was entirely different from that you saw nowadays. It was purely rural scenery without concrete forest. Whilst waiting for her husband's return, the patient Amah and her child evidenced the historical changes of Hong Kong generation by generation.
Do request your parents to hike outdoor with you again at any convenient time in this golden season.
