Book Report

Yesterday, I read a book named "Cam Jansen and the Summer Camp Mysteries". My mother bought me this book before the summer holiday. But I lost it. I found it just last week.

This book has three stories: 'The First Day of Camp Mystery', 'It's a Raid' and The Basketball Mystery. They are about Cam and her friend Eric spending three weeks at the Camp Eagle Lake, where they swim, play sports, do arts and crafts and make new friends. Sadie Rosen, the camp director helps the children and plays with them.

Cam is my favourite character because she has a photo-graphic memory. When she says "click!", she can remember what was happening. This helps her to solve the mysteries.

I like this book very much because it makes me remember the two camps I joined this year. I hope I can go camping for three weeks like Cam and Eric.

A trip to Amah Rock

Yesterday morning, my parents and I went hiking. We went up to Amah Rock.

We walked up many staircases and we were tired. It took about 1.5 hours to walk from home to Amah Rock.

On the way, we saw two streams. We stood on some rocks and Dad took photos of us. We looked at the view from Amah Rock. It was beautiful. I saw a lot of buildings, they were so small like models. We sat under a big rock and rested for a while before we walked down the hill.

It took just 20 minutes to walk down the hill. Before we left Lion Rock Country Park, we saw a naughty monkey. He was getting people's BBQ food. A woman screamed. The monkey was scared and then climbed up the tree quickly. We took a photo of it.

The Amah Rock has an interesting story. It is like a mother carrying his child, waiting for the father's father to come home.

Visiting Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences

This morning, my teacher and all 4A students took a school bus to the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences in Sheung Wan for a visit.

The entrance looks very old. The museum has three floors, they are upper floor ground floor and basement. A men told us many things, like the step counting meter,heart beat measure meter and some other tools for checking body. There is a picture shows us our organs inside our body, like the heart and lung.

Then, we went to the basement. There is a bed for operation and a model cow to show how people cured smallpox in the past.

We saw pictures and two model mice on the upper floor. The man told us about the plague made by rats a long time ago in Hong Kong.

We only stayed in the museum for 45 minutes. We didn't have enough time to see everything. I found this museum very interesting. I like the basement most because not many museums has a basement.
